If you want the box to receive the update automatically then it needs to be in standby overnight. If you want to apply the update manually then the box needs to be active and you press Menu (on the remote) then select Settings>Installation>Software Update It might take up to an hour to find, download and install the update.

I've checked on the web for various solutions and my setup appears to have all the sharing attributes correctly set up. At least I have a workaround as I can use the Custom Firmware to download a file, but I am curious as to why Win 10 File Manager no longer 'sees' the HDR.
On the Custom Firmware HDR Fox T2 box, there was a download facility that used to do this. There is no custom firmware for the FVP-4000T, or any other Humax box other than HDR-FOX T2, HD-FOX T2, and FOXSAT. You need to understand that not only are recordings encrypted on disk (as before), the whole disk is encrypted.
