Carburetor problems? Bike have a bog when twisting the throttle? Here is how to properly adjust the mixture. More pictures and information here:

I've never worked with a Turbo engine, but from what I've read on this site, trying to tune a turbo with a NB - especially with smaller injectors - is a recipe for a slagged engine! Simply changing the injector size in the req-fuel calculated will do a lot of the work, but you'll still need to get the dead time right for a good idle and mid-range.

A quality tune starts with accurate air-fuel-ratios (AFR), and the Power Vision uses an embedded function to help you dial in your AFR. This function is referred to as Autotune Basic and while you ride the Power Vision calculates the adjustments required to your tune to achieve an optimized AFR.
Theoretically, the ideal stoichiometric A/F mixture (the chemically ideal mixture of air and fuel that is required to provide a complete burn) for a properly tuned engine running on pure gasoline is 14.7:1; that is, 14.7 lbs. of air to 1 lb. of fuel. However, because of operating losses in the induction system due to intake runner and cylinder

The goal of racing engine tuning is to generate the best power for your setup. Knowing the limits of your vehicle—and tuning within those boundaries—ensures racing success. By maintaining a good air/fuel ratio when air density is fluctuating, among other controls, you keep your engine operating in top form. The oxygen or lambda sensor is one of the most important and one of the most misunderstood components of a modern fuel injection system. A basic understanding of how the sensor works and how to interpret its output is crucial to the successful tuning of a high performance or racing engine. Throw a power adder into the mix and the importance of 3) Tune-up. The tune-up activity is the act of ensuring the burners are properly mixing the air and fuel and of reestablishing the most appropriate amount of excess air throughout the operating range of the boiler. a) Tune-up each operating position of the combustion control system (from high-fire through low-fire). Tuning is simple in that you just need to remember the size of the hole determines how much air is coming into the carburetor. If you want to richen up the idle simply replace your idle air bleed with a smaller one (less air in the system = more fuel = richer idle), this will help you get your mixtures screws within the 1-2 turn range. Engine AFR Idle Tune This document will walk you through the process of properly tuning your idle to the RPM’s you choose. Below is the process used for setting your idle to 896, however, this same process can be used to set any Idle RPM you choose by using RPM levels below and above the desired Idle RPM. Link to the module and Start the engine.
Now you can tune to a specific air/fuel ratio under all operating conditions. This is the optimum way to adjust the fuel curve under any condition. Trending Pages.

Ok I need help on tuning my car. I have the Ford falcon wagon with the Paxton supercharger. Well I have a 650 blow thru carb. The jets on the primary are 74 and the rear is 78. When I am at idle it is 14.7 to 15.1. when I Cruse the car at 55 the a/f is 10.8 to 11.3. so if I go down two jets

This is why a wideband air fuel ratio gauge is such a must-have for carburetor tuners. Unlike a narrowband air fuel ratio gauge, the wideband air/fuel ratio Since the air/fuel ratio is Air divided by fuel, the A/F ratio is affected by two things here. The fuel (injector specs, fuel pressure, etc which should all be set in the computer to accurately reflect the parts on the car), and the air. Since fuel should be properly fixed and set, air is the only model you need to adjust.

That’s the ratio of fuel to air that results in the most efficient burn possible, where all of the oxygen and fuel will be consumed. The science of measuring reactions, like the chemical reaction that turns oxygen and fuel into CO 2 and heat, powering your engine, is called stoichiometry.
