I have the same problem with our Apple TV gen 3. I have tried the following: restart the modem; connect the Apple TV through cable; reset the Apple TV; None of these work and still YouTube freezes and crashes when I pauze a video. It doesn’t matter what type of video it is, I tried a range of different ones.
