I tried switching to lower resolutions and it fixed the problem BUT i used to run it on full settings with 60 fps. Just install the CD in the old fashioned way and enter the CD KEY code. Then do not register or connect to Battlenet. Anything digital/online can be controlled by Blizzard. A local disc cannot be affected. I have launched Warcraft 3, Frozen Throne, World Editor, and Custom Scenarios from disc and they all work fine, just as they did 10 years ago.
